For close to two years, we've been working behind the scenes with help from our friends at Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) to create a tool on PubMatch that makes it a one-stop shop for all things rights. We are very happy to announce that at the London Book Fair in less than two weeks, you'll finally be able to see the fruits of our labor! Allow us to introduce Rights@PubMatch: a complete turnkey system for selling rights from anywhere in the world, to anyone in the world! Rights@PubMatch, powered by CCC's RightsLink system is the first system of its kind, automating the rights sale process for everyone. For large publishers, it means giving new life to your mid and backlist titles that aren't actively being sold anymore. For independent authors, it means being able to sell rights without the need for representation. For agents, it presents a whole new model for selling rights. No matter what kind of user you are, Rights@PubMatch presents a whole new and valuable opportunity to break your content into foreign markets. Rights@PubMatch is an easy to use tool, that's both easy to follow and customize-able. The system allows you to dictate exactly what's for sale, including language, territory and formats, how long the contract is for, what the print run is, and more. You can make individual items available for sale, or give potential buyers a number of options to choose from. Rights@PubMatch even includes a foreign rights contract (which you can swap out for your own contract if you'd like)!
